I'm proud to raise awareness for ALS Research. This is a personal issue for me, as my Grandpa passed away due to this extremely terrifying disease.
Rebekah Patrick, our candidate for State House 98, responded today to the "Ice Bucket Challenge," the latest video trend that's raising awareness and funds for ALS ("Lou Gehrig's Disease"). She responded to another's challenge for personal reasons, not political, though.
She extended the challenge to two other Democrats for local offices (Damian Daly for House 94 and Mary Tinkler for House 114) -- and to her Republican opponent, Chris Murphy, too!

Vincent Sheheen's new video criticizes Nikki Haley's dysfunctional DSS
At our recent Meet & Greet, state Sen. Brad Hutto chopped into his opponent for U.S. Senate, the incumbent Lindsey Graham.
Nikki Haley's been called out by national media for her DSS mistakes that were severe enough to claim the lives of 76 children in South Carolina.

Anyone interested in joining our Fantasy Football League better act quickly. There are only two days left to sign up!
If you would like to participate in this year's competition, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org before 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 14.
Our draft is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 17. It's a live draft done online. However, you can set for your team to auto-pick, even setting different players in priority positions to help you get your favorite.
We use the NFL's Fantasy service, which gives detailed records and options, and is very easy to use, too. And if you need a hand setting it up, we'll be glad to help.
We must have an even number of participants, though, please note.
If you're interested, act quickly!
Our U.S. Senate candidate Brad Hutto received a notable endorsement today from the National Educators Association, the national organization that represents over 3 million educators from the kindergarten to college professor level.
According to NEA president Dennis Van Roekel:
“Brad Hutto shares our values and the values of the working families of South Carolina. If elected, Brad will put students and educators ahead of partisan politics, because he understands that the road to economic prosperity and security starts in the Palmetto State’s public schools. He will staunchly advocate for South Carolina families and, if elected, he will work hard to make the economy work for all of us. That’s why we are proud to recommend Brad Hutto for U.S. Senator.”

Now *this* is the kind of message that wins elections!

Nikki Haley could be a living example of the American Dream: she’s a first-generation American who worked for her parents’ business, and went on to be elected to State Legislature and then the Governor’s Mansion. Instead, though, Haley might be better described as the American Nightmare. Her one term as South Carolina governor has been rife with scandals, even while she was first campaigning for the office.
