The Dorchester County Democratic Party is a cohesive group of progressives who work tirelessly for good government for all of Dorchester County.  We bring real world solutions to the issues facing our community, such as public education, sustainable growth and job creation, not the “same old, same old” rhetoric we’ve all heard for years.  Our efforts focus on the election of candidates on the State, county and municipal level who align themselves with our Democratic Party principals and work to get things done!

We welcome everyone with a progressive view to come out and get involved!  We hold a breakfast meeting on the third Saturday of each month at Shoney’s Resturaunt on Main Street in Summerville at 9 a.m., and our committees constantly meet to work in such areas as candidate recruitment, issues and initiatives and voter registration.  We welcome anyone with an interest in good, fair, representative government to join us!

BBQ & Blues!

Saturday, February 27th from 6 p.m. ’til 9 p.m. We’ve got 15 candidates for local, state and federal offices attending this event, where you’ll be able to speak with all of them on a one-on-one basis. There’ll be plenty of food and good music, too! Please RSVP by contacting wrdc@aol.com or dordems@gmail.com.  Just $10 for the buffet ($5 for kids), and you can order some to-go, too.

County Democratic Convention

10 a.m. on Saturday, March 20th

Ridgeville Town Hall

150 School St in Ridgeville

County Delegates attending this County Convention will elect a new DCDP Chairperson, as well as a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Vice Chair.  Our county’s members of the state party’s Executive Committee will also be elected.  Solicitor David Pascoe will be our guest speaker.

Before the event beginning at 9:15 a.m., a continental breakfast will be available for purchase.
